What the AI coach actually does.
We didn't bolt "ask GPT a question" on top of a stats page. The coach is wired into your actual data — every weakness report, drill prescription and debrief is grounded in numbers from your real matches.
Weakness detection
We compare your stats against your own baseline AND against players one level above you. The gaps that close the level gap surface first — usually opening duels, utility damage, or first-bullet accuracy.
Match-by-match debrief
Paste a match URL or sign in to auto-pick your last game. The coach summarises what went right, what went wrong, and one specific thing to fix before the next queue.
Drill plan you can actually do
Workshop maps, aim trainer routines, deathmatch focus, prefire spots — all linked. Sized to a 20-minute warmup, not an hour of busywork.
Goals + progress
Set up to three goals (e.g. K/D ≥ 1.20, win rate ≥ 55%, ELO ≥ 2000). The coach pulls live stats and shows progress bars without you opening a spreadsheet.
Pre-match scout
Before the match starts, paste the FACEIT room link. The coach reads both teams' lifetime baselines and flags the player who is most likely to carry the round.
Mental + comms layer
The coach watches for tilt patterns (back-to-back losses + dropping HS%) and switches tone — focus on neutralising tilt instead of pushing more drills.
What a debrief actually looks like.
What went right: 19 / 18 / 6 with a 1.05 K/D and 88 ADR — your damage held up despite the loss. Three trades on B-site (rounds 7, 14, 19) — the cohesion was real.
What went wrong: Opening-duel rate dropped to 28% (your baseline is 41%). On Mirage T-side that starves your trade fragger of timing. HS% fell to 38% — 8 points below your lifetime — suggesting spray transfers were off.
One thing to fix: Tomorrow: 10 minutes of recoil_master on Mirage with first-bullet focus, then a short DM with crosshair locked at head height. Don't play another Mirage T-side until the first-bullet accuracy stabilises.

What is the CS2Mate AI coach?+
A Counter-Strike 2 coaching layer powered by a large language model with full read access to your FACEIT and Steam stats. It detects weaknesses, prescribes drills, debriefs matches and tracks goals — all calibrated to your actual baseline, not a generic ladder.
Is the AI coach free?+
Yes. The daily plan, weakness report, post-match debrief, pre-match scout and goal tracking are all free. A paid tier exists for unlimited debrief depth, but the core coaching loop never paywalls.
Do I need a FACEIT account?+
No. The coach works with Steam-only stats too — it just has more material to work with when FACEIT is linked. Connect FACEIT in /settings any time to upgrade the depth.
Is the AI coach VAC-safe?+
100%. The coach only reads stats via FACEIT's and Steam's public APIs. Nothing runs inside the game, nothing hooks the process, nothing reads memory. No VAC risk.
Will the AI coach work for low-level FACEIT players?+
Yes — and it's arguably most useful from level 3 to level 8 where the highest-ROI fixes are mechanical and habitual. At level 10 the gaps shift to team play and the coach pivots tone accordingly.
How is this different from a human coach?+
A human coach watches you play and corrects technique. The AI coach measures everything in your match history and points at the gap. The two are complementary — many users do an AI weakness report first, then hire a human for the gap that needs a live demo review.
Does the AI coach watch my demos?+
Demo-level analysis is on the roadmap as an opt-in upload. Today the coach works from stats + per-match aggregates, which is enough to identify weaknesses without parsing every round.
